Geschichte

Majestic Distilling Co., Inc. was founded by Mr. Zellic Cohen in 1943 as a distillery, rectification and bottling plant. In 1950, his oldest son, Victor, joined Zellic in the management of the company. After graduating college and finishing military service, younger brothers Sidney and Harold joined the company as well. After several decades of distilling fine Maryland Rye Whiskey, the focus of operation moved primarily to the rectification and bottling aspects of the business.

During Majestic's 61+ years of history in the liquor manufacturing industry, we have had some notable accomplishments. We were the first company in the industry to have a fully computerized order processing and tracking system. Additionally, we have made some unique design changes to our bottling line, which allow for the quickest and most flexible operation in the industry. Today, Majestic Distilling Company sells products in over 30 states, and around the world. Under the ownership of Mr. Victor Cohen, our strong management team is continuing our half-century tradition of product-excellence and customer service. We offer our customers the highest level of individual attention, as well as the most rapid order turnaround in the industry.

Majestic, a 63 year old distilling company, is the exclusive United States importer for Tortuga Rums of the Cayman Islands and by April, the firm will bedistributing Cayman’s famous drink through 10 states and the company anticipates complete distribution by summer.
