History

Company was established in 1963.

Licorera Albeldense was founded in 1963 by the Riojan Carmelo Rodríguez Galilea as a distillery for making traditional spirits suc as brandy, anisette, gin, rum and vodka, which were sold principally in the north of Spain.

Ten years later the current distillery was built. At the end of 1978, on the founder's death, his wife, Dona Manuela Ruiz, took charge of the distillery and reduced its production, specialising in liqueurs made from natural fruits such as sloes, apples, peaches, pears, hazelnuts, etc.

There was a change in commercial strategy at the same time. At the end of the 1980's the enlarge for the third time, now to 1,200 square metres of plant to be able to cover the business's new demand. At present the company is in continual growth with important sales figures on the international market.
