Adolf Popper received permission from the town to set up a factory for the production of jelly and later produced other liqueurs, alcohol and vinegar. A part of the factory complex, which was still in operation after 1948, is still preserved in the buildings between Peklo, Pětatřicátníků orchards and Palacký Square.
